Try Capacitor on gitpod you might like it

Try this link

It installs Capacitor and the Android sdk in a Docker style online IDE.

then type ./a06 (tab)

to load the bash file ./

Enter the name of the App you want to make (no spaces)

Open preview --> use the QR-code to find the web page and install your debug Android App (version 9.0.0)

(If your concerned about security, don’t actually install the app, just marvel at how easy that was.)

The apk is in the folder (project-folder-name)/android/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk

I just got this working today, so it is all a bit rough. Comment if your interested. I will probably make a yoututbe video fairly soon.

My youtube videos are at

I learnt about 2 weeks ago and about Capacitor 3 days ago.

P.S. I used to visit the Phonegap 2.0.0 team in Vancouver, BC, Canada, when they were first purchased by Adobe working out of their office on Cordova Street !
